STEVE COUSINS, CEO
Steve Cousins is passionate about building and deploying robotic technology to help people. Before founding Savioke, he was the President and CEO of Willow Garage, where he oversaw the creation of the robot operating system (ROS), the PR2 robot, and the open source TurtleBot. In the last three years of his tenure there, Willow Garage spun off 8 companies:

Steve is an active participant in the Robots for Humanity project. Steve has been a senior manager at IBM's Almaden Research Center, and a member of the senior staff at Xerox PARC. Steve holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University, BS and MS degrees in computer science from Washington University, and earned a micro-MBA while at IBM.
TESSA LAU, CHIEF ROBOT WHISPERER
Tessa's passion is building systems that improve people's lives. Her background in machine learning enables her to understand what roboticists are saying, while her expertise in human-computer interaction drives her to understand people's needs and design and build user-focused systems that address those needs. Her goal at Savioke is to guide the development of robots that will revolutionize the service industry. Dr. Lau holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
CHAD ROCKEY, JACK OF ALL ROBOTS
Chad's passion is building robots. By keeping abreast of the latest advances in hardware technology, Chad ensures that our robots make use of the latest and greatest sensors and components to maintain quality and maximize affordability. With a wide breadth of knowledge including hardware engineering and device driver software, Chad keeps our robots moving smoothly,
ADRIAN CANOSO, DESIGN LEAD
Adrian has a consuming passion with fusing the craft of product design & user experience to make technology meaningful and accessible to everyday people. At Savioke, he leads the effort to design robots and interfaces that harmonize with their environment and satisfy real human needs. Through rapid prototyping, iteration, and ethnographic research, Adrian interacts directly with the people who will use Savioke’s robots to ensure that the products we build have a meaningful, delightful, and sustaining benefit to it’s users.
IZUMI YASKAWA, STRATEGIC AMBASSADOR
Izumi takes responsibility for running all the aspects of our business including developing our business case, opening and maintaining relationships with potential investors and advisors, and keeping our finances running smoothly. She is fluent in Japanese and wields this skill to build strong relationships with our partners in the robotics industry in Japan. Ms. Yaskawa holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
EKUMEN, BUENOS AIRES
Since our founding, we have had a close relationship with Ekumen, a global company specializing in software for robotics based in Argentina. They have been working closely with us as an extended part of our team, contributing directly in areas such as navigation logic, user interface, software architecture as well as leading services engagement with our customers in the area of Android-based autonomous navigation for ground and aerial vehicles.
